GRE Coaching

The GRE, or Graduate Record Examination, is a standardized test widely used by graduate and business schools around the world as part of the admissions process for master's, MBA, and doctoral programs. It measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and are not related to any specific field of study. The GRE is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and is conducted in a computer-based format in most locations.

The GRE General Test consists of three main sections:

Verbal Reasoning: This section assesses the ability to analyze and evaluate written material and synthesize information obtained from it, analyze relationships among component parts of sentences, and recognize relationships among words and concepts.

Quantitative Reasoning: This section measures the ability to understand quantitative information, interpret and analyze quantitative data, solve problems using mathematical models, and apply basic mathematical skills and concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis.

Analytical Writing: This section requires test-takers to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively, support ideas with relevant reasons and examples, examine claims and accompanying evidence, sustain a well-focused, coherent discussion, and demonstrate control of standard English grammar and usage.

Scores on the GRE General Test are reported separately for the verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning sections, both scored on a scale of 130-170 in one-point increments. The analytical writing section is scored on a scale of 0-6 in half-point increments.

Many graduate programs, especially in English-speaking countries, require or recommend GRE scores as part of the application process. Preparing for the GRE often involves studying from various test preparation materials, taking practice exams, and honing test-taking strategies to achieve the best possible score.
